The story of an impossible love. An airplane sets off in search of another. When the two planes come across each other, they ignite a climax: the dazzling
eruption of a supernova. Then comes the fall — a descent into desolation, ending in a crash that scatters them into stardust. There is another, more scientific interpretation: in the aftermath of the Big Bang, only hydrogen and helium existed — water could not yet form. Then came the supernovas. With each explosion, a supernova releases the full spectrum of elements in the periodic table. Among them is oxygen, which, when combined with hydrogen, gives rise to water — and with it, the essential elements that make us who we are. In this sense, we are stardust. Milions d’estels i un somni is a reflection on the duality of love: flight and fall. Its images convey the longing for a love that, once finally realized, explodes like a supernova and transforms into memory. A love that endures in the mind — fleeting yet eternal, falling and rising, intense but brief. This is the author’s second self-published book, following Or iaram (2022).
