Like Nobuyoshi Araki and others, he is a representative photographer of American "private photography", and Goldin often visited Japan in the 90s, as if in response to the "second private photography boom" in Japan in the 90s. When I visit, I collaborate with Araki and others. This is the German version of the collection of works published in 1992 as the English version "The Other Side", and is an early work in which a new version was recently announced by Steidl. When I lived in Boston when I was a student, I started taking pictures with friends who were seen as outsiders at the time, such as drag queens and transgenders who gathered at the bar "The Other Side". I jumped over the United States and went to Berlin, Bangkok, and the Philippines to shoot. It is a record of "transcendental happiness" from the 70's to the 90's.
