When Jenny Rova met Philippe in Zurich, he was living illegally in Switzerland after his asylum application had been rejected. Fearing possible consequences, he refused to be photographed. However, Rova wanted to preserve her memories and began taking screenshots of their video calls without his knowledge.

After a few months together, the couple decided to marry, but the process became complicated as authorities suspected theirs was a marriage of convenience. The images, initially created as a private record of their relationship, became crucial evidence of its authenticity.
