The image is part of "Neighborhood Conversations", an ongoing documentary series about the neighborhoods of New York City’s five boroughs. I began photographing the city in 2007, using each visit as an opportunity to wander through and explore its neighborhoods on foot with my 4×5 camera. The core of the work was created between 2007 and 2016.
