Since the 1990s, Jochen Lempert has used the book as a classic medium of knowledge transfer, narration and visual experimentation. On the occasion of his exhibition at Portikus, the publication Jochen Lempert: Paare / Pairs is published in close collaboration with the artist and Roma Publications in Amsterdam. The artist’s book combines new and older photographs into a sequence that offers a new perspective on viewing pairs.
