Second Edition

A collection of works by Spanish photographer Cristina de Middel.

In 1964, Zambian science teacher Edwuard Makuka decided to train the first African moon crew. The plan is to use an aluminum rocket to send a woman, two cats, and a missionary into space. Furthermore, by adopting a catapult system, it is planned to reach the moon first and then Mars. The Zambian National Academy of Science and Space Research and Astronomy was established at the headquarters located just 20 miles from the capital, Lusaka. a coined word combining "Afro") training was started.

This work is a collection of works created based on that unrealistic project. The first edition was published in 2012. It was a collector's item, but the UK's Archive of Medern Conflict produced this second edition in 2016. It was sold out in a blink of an eye because there was only hope for resale. (3rd edition published in 2019)

This is one of the important historical works that is always mentioned when talking about the independent/self-published photo book boom of the 2010s.
