“I lived and photographed in Chicago from early 1988 through the summer of 1991. Not much of this work has surfaced yet. This photo was made on a pier on Lake Michigan. The little boy was bored, but he had his father as a source of comfort; the light on the lake was soft as the sun was burning off the fog.”
